1. Purpose
- This policy defines the rules, standards, and responsibilities for vendors participating in advertising, promotions, discounts, and marketing campaigns on the Marketplace platform in Bangladesh.
- The objective is to ensure:
- Honest advertising
- Consumer trust
- Fair competition
- Legal compliance under Bangladeshi law
2. Eligibility for Advertising & Promotions
- Only active and verified vendors are eligible to participate in advertising or promotional campaigns.
- Vendors must:
- Maintain minimum performance standards (rating ≥ 3.5)
- Have no major policy violations or payment dues
- The marketplace reserves the right to approve or reject any promotional request.
3. Types of Advertising & Promotions
- Vendors may participate in:
- Featured product listings
- Sponsored ads (search or category-based)
- Banner advertisements
- Flash sales
- Festival campaigns (Eid, Pohela Boishakh, 11.11, etc.)
- Coupon or voucher campaigns
4. Advertising Content Guidelines
- All advertising content must be:
- Truthful and accurate
- Clear and not misleading
- Compliant with Bangladeshi consumer laws
- Advertising content must NOT:
- Contain false claims or exaggerated benefits
- Promote illegal, counterfeit, or restricted products
- Include offensive, religiously sensitive, or political content
- Use misleading “before price” or fake discounts
- The platform may edit, reject, or remove non-compliant content.
5. Pricing & Discount Rules
- Discounted prices must be based on the actual regular selling price.
- Fake price inflation before discounts is strictly prohibited.
- Vendors must ensure sufficient stock during promotional periods.
- Failure to fulfill promotional orders may result in penalties.
6. Promotion Fees & Charges
- Advertising and promotional services may be:
- Paid (fixed fee, CPC, CPM, or commission-based)
- Included in subscription plans
- Fees are non-refundable once a campaign is live.
- The marketplace reserves the right to revise fees with prior notice.
7. Campaign Performance & Monitoring
- Campaign performance may be measured using:
- Clicks
- Impressions
- Conversions
- Sales volume
- The marketplace does not guarantee sales or revenue from promotions.
8. Vendor Responsibilities During Promotions
- Vendors must:
- Honor promotional prices and offers
- Dispatch orders on time
- Maintain product quality
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries
- High cancellation rates or poor service during promotions may result in:
- Campaign termination
- Penalties or account suspension
9. Prohibited Promotional Practices
- Vendors must NOT:
- Divert customers to off-platform channels
- Offer direct payment methods outside the platform
- Use fake reviews or misleading testimonials
- Abuse coupon systems or promo codes
- Violations may result in severe penalties.
10. Platform-Initiated Promotions
- The marketplace may run platform-wide promotions.
- Vendor participation may be:
- Optional
- Mandatory for selected categories (with notice)
- Promotional cost-sharing terms will be clearly communicated.
11. Legal Compliance (Bangladesh)
- All advertising and promotional activities must comply with:
- Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009
- Digital Commerce Guidelines (Bangladesh)
- ICT and Cyber Laws
- Any legal violation will be the sole responsibility of the vendor.
12. Suspension & Termination
- The marketplace reserves the right to:
- Suspend advertising privileges
- Remove ads or promotional listings
- Terminate vendor accounts for serious violations
- No refunds will be provided in such cases.
13. Policy Updates
- This policy may be updated at any time.
- Vendors will be notified via email or dashboard.
- Continued participation implies acceptance.
14. Acceptance
- By participating in advertising or promotional activities, vendors confirm that:
- They understand and accept these rules
- They will comply with all legal and platform requirements
